Open role: Senior AI Agent Developer
Location: Remote / London
Type: Full-time (contractors may be considered for the right profile)
Apply: contact@immediateedge.net (subject: Senior AI Agent Developer)
About the role
You will design, build, and maintain AI agent systems that support Immediate Edge’s trading-related software and internal lead / operations workflows. Work spans agent orchestration, tool use, evaluation, and safe integration with existing product and CRM-style pipelines — not marketing copy or unfounded performance claims.
What you will do
- Design and implement multi-step AI agents (planning, tool calling, memory/state, guardrails) for product and internal use cases
- Integrate agents with APIs, data stores, and operational tooling used in a lead-generation and partner-introduction context
- Define evaluation harnesses, logging, and failure modes so agent behaviour is measurable and debuggable
- Collaborate with product and engineering on prompts, schemas, rate limits, and human-in-the-loop review where needed
- Improve reliability, latency, and cost of agent runs without sacrificing safety or data-handling discipline
- Document systems clearly so other engineers can operate and extend them
What we look for
- Strong software engineering background (Python and/or TypeScript preferred)
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, or custom agent loops in production or serious staging environments
- Comfort with APIs, queues/jobs, structured outputs (JSON schemas), and observability
- Practical judgement about hallucination, prompt injection, PII, and over-automation risks
- Ability to write clear technical notes and work asynchronously (Remote / London)
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, trading tooling, or regulated-adjacent lead platforms (broker integrations, KYC handoffs, etc.)
- Eval-driven development, red-teaming of agents, or policy / safety layers
- Familiarity with WordPress-adjacent or marketing-site funnels only as integration surfaces — this role is engineering-first
